If I have two absolutes like R & L Bowers, I will always take it (counting on my P), but what if I have only R bower and Ace? Would you take it? Apposers could take my ace and then SET city !!!!

I would take it if you have an off suit ace for a back up card. Bring the bower out to pull the other bower out. Hopefully, your partner has something to help you out.

Are you the dealer in the instance? So you will be picking up a third trump? I'd only take it if I had a two suit hand or a three suit hand with another ace. I'd call up my partner on it only if I had another ace or two. If it was being picked up by the other team, no way.
You can generally count on your partner to take one hand if you know your partner's playing style well enough. I would never lead the R or Ace without knowing where the L is. If you want to take the risk, don't lead with those until you have to.
I miss euchre! Best thing about high school for me.

depends on what other cards you have if i am 4 suited and low cards i wont always take it with both bowers and sometime i have called it on just the j and ace but i would have to be like 2 suited or 3 with aces and king not on 9's or 10's

i dont understand? by saying you would take it........are you talking about the turned card??..........if so yes id take it i dont mind getting set..... so many people do not realise the benefits of that turned card on computered deals...... and if i did not take it..........then id call next or hoyle depending if my P and i had the lead in the score.and who had the deal. so basically if We had the lead and the call came ot me.................ID CALL next or hoyle depending who had the deal
