i want to buy an iguana but i wanted to do sum research first and i wanted to know all the types of iguanas so i can see how to care for them.so if u could help me i would appreciate it

There are many species of iguana but the one that you find in pet shops is pretty much always the Green Iguana, so I would concentrate your research on this species.

These animals can get up to six feet long and need a LOT of space once they are full grown.

They also have very specific eating requirements and can suffer from metabolic bone disease if you don't provide them with the right food, supplements and lighting.

Think seriously about whether you have the space and money to keep a full size iguana, if you have then excellent, but do be sure you know what you are getting in to. You may want to look into buying your iguana from a local reptile rescue centre. They are invariably full of iguanas that people bought as tiny lizards but no longer want because they have grown too large.

Research (like you have started by asking here) is the way to go, make sure you have read up as much as you can before buying. There are many many caresheets for green iguanas online, as well as forums and societies where you can talk to other owners and ask questions.
