No I don't believe he is racist. Through his alter-egos, he delivers an obvious satire that exposes people's ignorance and prejudice. His characters - Borat a naive, sexist, anti-semitic television reporter from Kazakhstan, Brüno a gay Austrian fashion show presenter and Ali G an idiotic wannabe gangsta rapper - are just satirical.

Borat is but I believe Sacha isn't. Not only does Borat hates black people, latinos, and some other races, but he is also a misogynist. He hates women! The character Borat not Sacha Cohen. There was an interview prepared by some Filipino journalists who wanted to ask so many questions with Borat. Actually, Sacha told them that if they let him be Borat in that interview session, he will agree to come and chat with them. In one of the questions, Borat actually said that "in this country women are allowed to drive but horses cannot, i don't get it, it's nonsense." It is funny though.

The character is racist, but the actual actor playing him is not. There is a BIG difference. He is just showing people how stupid racism really is. Borat hates the Jews and wants to throw them all down a well. In reality Sacha is a practicing Jew himself.

Why do you feel so offended ? People must have a sense of
humor in this life. I laugh at all kinds of jokes, racial or whatever.
Some people take the smallest thing and make it a huge problem
when it wasn't even meant that way at all ITS A JOKE ! He is NOT serious.

Cohen is Jewish. He's not a racist. He's simply making you think he is and making fun of it and making big buckets of money doing it!

Considering the comic in question - I think that what he is doing is pointing out how ludicrous racism is.
In that respect he is actually mocking the racists, not the various 'races' in question.
