to those specific friends?
I am like that sometimes. Trying to change that. I notice some people in my school who are like that also.

I only have a few friends but they aren't really close. I'm not really big on talking to strangers because there is so much that is unknown, and I just don't feel comfortable with them, and there's always apprehension in my mind.
I like for things to be smooth and work out correctly most of the time, and people just sometimes interfere with it. They make me feel like crap sometimes (yes, even I, the great Salma feels like crap when people treat me wrong for a long time), and I just try to stay away from it.
My friends are just like a safety net. I'm always quiet, standing in the corner or sitting, staring out at things... And I'm quiet in all of the classes that don't have people that I'm comfortable with.
I'm trying to change that, but it's hard! I just guess that I shine when I'm with specific people... :-)

I do not think too many people know each other for real on yahoo.
They met on yahoo and answer the questions and get to know
the people who they feel comfortable talking to. There are some
people on here who once you hear what they ask or say , it feels
like you have known them all of your life.
I am way past school age but I will tell you that once you are out
of school , except for a handful of really close friends , you will lose touch with many old friends and make new ones .

Yeah I notice that a lot but I think that if people are willing to be the way they normally are, they can meet new people and become friends with them.

I notice that a lot. I am one of those people that observes everyone around them. I am trying to change that too, but it is hard.

If it is an interesting question then I go fer it but yeah I do notice familiar names and "faces" I am still relatively new here and just getting to know peeps so am I a friend yet? Dunno...I just know I like it here and like ya'll.

Yeah, I'm the same way. I do talk a lot (that's what Cubans do best) I guess I'm just comfortable with my friends, you just don't know what people you don't know will say, you know?

Not many people reach out to people they don't know, and it's kind of dangerous, depending on where you do it. Things are scarey out there sometimes.
