First and foremost it does not mean you have cancer. Second of all you should definitely talk to your parents about your concerns and ask to go to the doctor. He/she will probably examine them and send you for a diagnostic mammogram. I had the same problem as you last year and things were fine. The lumps turned out to be cysts which I have since discovered runs in my family. My mother and my sister both have them. One of the things my doctor told me was to notice the size of them before and after my period because one of the characteristics of cysts was that they tend to be bigger right before you start and that after wards they will gradually decrease in size. Let me stress though that I am not a nurse or a doctor and this is just what I was told. You may also want to check with a school nurse and talk to her.

I hope things turn out well for you. I know how scared I was before I got my results and how relieved I was when they came back ok.

I remember that when I was developing it felt like there were tiny little bubbles almost, and they were everywhere. I think it's just the texture of a breast. If you had breast cancer, the lump would feel like a rock. I think it would feel obvious. Does it feel like cottage cheese? I an 24 and have had 2 breastfed children and I still feel that. Sometimes I check myself and wonder how I will ever be able to tell if I have a lump. But they say that it feels obvious and when you have a lump you KNOW it as long as you're checking yourself. If I were you I wouldn't sweat it. If one or two stand out as different from the rest then get it checked out. But as long as it all feels like a whole lotta lumps, like cottage cheese or something like that, don't sweat it. I know what you mean. Eventually as your breasts fill in you may notice that feeling a little less. Good luck!!!!

When you first start to develop (i mean from being all the way flat the way you were all your childhood) it feels a little lumpy and it will start to hurt when you press on it accidentally (breasts are a sensetive area). I remember when that first happened to me when I was 9, and I was scared because I didn't know why it was hurting when I accidentally leaned up against a table or something, so my mom took me to a doctor and she told me that was normal.

you are still developing, and lumpy breasts are normal. You could have a condition called polycystic breast syndrome, but you are too young for that. I would go ask your pediatrician and I bet he tells you they are perfectly normal. Like the rest of us, things don't grow at the same rate, and your breasts are the same way. It could just be you have pockets of thicker cells that are normal. If in doubt people see your doctor!!!!!

Anthing unusual concerning your breasts should be check out by a doctor - even if you are only 14.
I am sure it is absolutely nothing to worry about but is really is best to have it checked for peace of mind. Don't be scared - you'll be fine .....
