I thought 'aeon flux' was scary vision of the future while 'boo boo goes wild,' disturbing. But they were both good though.

Elfen Lied has gore and nudity in it
Perfect Blue describes the darkness of a girl absorbed in paranoia
Paranoia Agent is about a series of murders seemingly tied to the same mysterious and elusive person
The Animatrix has a few disturbing or scary scenes in it (depending on which episode you're viewing).
That's all I know, though.

Mmmh I can think of something like that.

There is one animation short transmitted over cable tv, "The Sandman", i think this would be scary for kids, while it was disturbing for me. I think i saw this on locomotion.

I think south park is somehow disturbing, just remember the first time Mr. Henkie appeared!

There is an anime series called "Urotsukidoji", and that is one cuirous piece.

The animated movie "Akira", japanimation at its best.

Even Ren & Stimpy had their grossness, or Beavis and Butthead.

I think Sponge Bob is also a weird cartoon, it seems subtle on the surface, but I find there is something more underneath.

Even the Devilman, Guyver, Vampire Princess Miyu have their side.

hope you enjoy!

You'll probably think i'm insane, but I can only be honest.

There was this one episode of this Cartoon Network cartoon, Samurai Jack. The main character, Samurai Jack (wow, I wonder why) enters this really old, haunted-looking mansion. He explores the rooms and there's nothing, no furniture, except for doors and windows. After going through several doors, he suddenly sees this little girl, clutching her teddy bear. The little girl runs past him through the door he just entered. He wants to find out more about this house and the girl, so he follows her.

As he's going back through the rooms, he sees that the windows are gone.

Road Runner and Wild E Coyote, Warner Bros. cartoons. Weird, but funny and pathetic relief to watch.

There are. Check Nekijiru. But it's not as disturbing, disgusting and scary as comic...I think they had to make it mild, as it's on the internet.
