Go to your local pharmacy and buy Gelatin capsules. My sister told me about it a long time ago, and recently, my girlfriend had the same problem you're having. Remembering what my sis had told me, I suggested the Gelatin caps to my girlfriend, and her nails were healthy again in a few short weeks... They're fairly inexpensive, to boot. Give 'em a try, and good luck.
PS
No, no! Your nails need to "breathe", and if you keep polishing them, you're liable to get an infection. Give them a few weeks "rest", while you rehab with the Gelatin...

Once they have completely all grown out, they will be normal again. For now, keep using lots of nail strengtheners. OPI Nail Envy is one that I love.

file. Then clip them. Go to wal-greens and get some sally hensen nail polish. They are really good and strengthens your nails. You don't even have to get a color coat. Get a clear top coat. Ok, then before you paint and after you file, soak them in luke warm water with a squirt of lemon in them, or lukewarm water withs soap in in it. Good luck.
