The other night I was using it without it being plugged in so the battery was running lower and lower. All of a sudden it just completed shut up. I just figured it was because there was no batttery left (and this had happened once before and I was able to just plug it in and it rebooted) This time it wont even turn on with it being plugged in to the wall.

It could be a ton of things. Try these first:

Pop the battery out and plug in directly to the wall. If it powers on, you have battery problems. If not, jiggle the power cord in the back of the computer and keep pressing the power button. If no luck, try doing the same while jiggling the cord to the wall or to the power brick. You either have a bad motherboard or a bad power adapter. Try another adapter if you can. Is it on warranty?

I just sent my laptop out yesterday with exactly the same problem...and it's either a fried motherboard or bad power adapter.

Some batteries have memories which means you have to let them drain completley before you can re-charge them again and use them. this could be your problem. Let it sit there plugged in overnight and see what happens.
Another thing is that your battery could be at the end of its life and will no longer take any charge so you might want to borrow someones battery and plug it and see if that works before you go buy another one.
Good luck.

My only suggestion would be to remove the battery, keep the laptop plugged in after the battery is removed see if it will start.

Ah yea the power supply is dead. AC to DC converter in the laptop needs to be replaced. They can be replaced and do not cost that much.
