At times like that, I need to turn off the computer and then turn it back on, to get everythng back to normal.

you may need to take the ball out of it and shake any debris out of it and then clean it with alcohol on q-tips. That is how I used to clean my old one, when I had problems like that. Now I have an optical mouse and I love it, I use alcohol to clean the bottom of it too tho, but I haven't had any problems with it.

My sister has the themes along with her mouse 2.. if turn into the little ball interior the mouse, the little ball get caught because of the fact it turn into grimy... Try an optical mouse. It solved my problems.

the bottom ball thingy needs to be shook out so just shake it.

it might not be plugged in right, check your control panel, also might want to check the wires for loose contacts.
