I know they fly about 7 miles up, but when move across the sky, how far east or west can a normal vision person see?

Hi. Actually hundreds of miles. I saw a jet this evening heading west near sunset and the contrail was tiny, but visible. It was still in the sunlight and about 4 degrees off the horizon.

the naked eye can see about 10 miles
