Have you been doing anything before it happened. Think about it. You could have a pinched nerve or something else so go see your doctor. He can check it and see if it is something major or something little. Good Luck

C M could be correct don't panic just see your doctor NOW!
But don't panic and make it worse...have someone take you to the hospital if it is nearby and stay with you until you have been diagnosed. Also sometimes this numbness is caused by a physical injury to your limb which you might have dismissed as 'nothing to worry about'. I been thru this several times in my life because II use to be a "tough gut" type and sometimes let my ego overrule my common sense. Don't you be that kind of "tough" person!

.if it is your left arm this could be a sign of a heart attack it could be lack of circulation or a pinched nerve but what it is telling you is go to the doctor and maybe a emergency room visit would be good.

go to hospital asap. it may be a blood clot that is forcing pressure on the radial nerve in arm. numbness always has to due with blood flow. so get it checked out asap

It could be a stroke or a heart attack. I would seek medical attention right away.
