Networked computers DO share the public IP address that computers outside the network see. The router then can direct traffic to a specific computer based on which port is accessed (Port Forwarding). Every computer in a network has it's own Private IP address though, which is assigned by DHCP by the router.

If they are going through a router they have the same INTERNET IP address but not the same network IP address. Your router assigns each computer a different network IP address. But if say one of you downloads something illegal or immoral. The authorities can only tell it came from your network IP address at your location. Say if you had wireless internet and did not encrypt the signal and a child porn dude lived nextdoor or parked within range of you and connected to your internet the illegal act would come back to you and your Interent IP address...Thanks

networked computers do not share the same IP adress. If you are sharing an internet connection between computers, they do share an IP adress unless you correctly install the programs to connect each computer to the wireless network.

If Networked Computers have a proxy server to connect to the internet, then they share that machine's (pxoxy's) public address when viewed from the internet.
But each network computer on the Internal network(LAN as u may call it). will have its unique address (we can call LAN ip address.. - mostly they are 172.x.x.x or 192.x.x.x or maybe in a WAN then something like 10.x.x.x etc).

Network computers dont share the same IP. One of my computers doesnt even have an IP. It operates on a airport(built in). So instead of configuring everything, it picks up my broadband signals from my router. That has no IP. It all depends on how your computers are connected.

No two computers share the same ip address. If they should have the same ip address, they won't work.
