Stolen moments, illegal artifacts, things that are off limits are suddenly valuable. Why?

Don't forget having an affair with a forbidden lover. I don't know why things seem more valuable when they are off limits. Something to do with the psychology of human survival where you crave things that are scarce even more than when they are plentiful. We have a built in drive to struggle for something we want and to feel euphoria when we fight hard for it and get it. Something we can't have makes us build up even more anticipation, our obsessive minds focus only on that which is out of reach, while what we have we start to take for granted as "part of the woodwork.'

It goes back to Adam and Eve and the forbid fruit. Whatever you were told not to touch we have a desire to want more, and can't live another moment until we get it.

Just try going through the toy section with a kid without leaving with the latest toy gadget.

breaking the rules and putting ourseves in danger and facing the concequences to achieve something will definetly endear the result to you. i think its the same as when you strive for something for weeks and finally get it. you put up wit all the hard work of getting it, and finally have it in your possession,.
