Hey everyone. Tomorrow is my band's first concert and we're playing at a venue of about 100 people. We play rock music and I'm the lead guitarist. In 2 of the songs we play i have solos i have to improvise. Anyway im not all that nervous but mainly just looking for a little advice on how to make sure everything runs smoothly from someone who has experience in this situation. Thanks!

Well I have played many shows and here are some tips...

- Don't let anyone touch your equipment but you and yourself!!!

- Make sure your guitar is tuned before you go onstage

- If you make a mistake DO NOT stop, keep on playing

- Relax as much as possible

- Do not drink lots of fluids or food for that matter before you go on

- Make sure the guy who is doing the sound gets everything perfect.....I played at a Battle and the sound guy dicked up everything, the show sounded like ****!

- Make sure you can hear yourself as well as everyone else

- After the gig lock all your equipment in your car

- Your first show WILL SUCK, you WILL sound like ****, sorry but its the truth happens with everyone. Bu tyou will sound good if you keep your cool and just have fun

- Don't drink, pop, inject, or smoke anything before you get onstage.....save it for after the show :)

- Have fun...don't worry, just play and enjoy it.

You will have the biggest adreneline rush after you play. It will feel like you are flying through the clouds. A great feeling.
