Ask him someplace that the rest of your friends don't usually hang out at. Make it neutral, "I've wanted to try the coffee shop on Maple Ave. Would you like to go with me (or meet me there) about 1 pm Saturday?"
That way you can be together without others seeing you and see how it goes.

don't ask a guy out. it'll give you a reputation as a skank. besides, if he knows you like him and he likes you back, HE'LL make the first move. also, if you ask him out and he DOESN'T like you, this will save you from looking like a complete moron. hope this helps.
