I am the one asking the question. I noticed a few days ago white foam coming from my filter. Today in my 5" slider s water container I see there are LOTS of what looks like mosquito larvae. They are wiggling and/or floating on top all lined up in a row. My turtle seems not to even see them. I do not se him eating them. I have two guppies. Should I put them in the container to see if they will eat the "wigglers"?

Yes,they will eat them, but they need some small fish, turtle sticks(Repto-min),earthworms and waxworms. Also, greens(anything but spinach and cabbage)water plants(you can get these at the aquarium store). They love Bil -Jac frozen dog food, too. For calcium, put a cuttlebone(for birds)in the tank with them;they will nibble on it.Also provide a full-spectrum UV light for vitamin D.

OMG! do not launch that turtle. human beings liberating their RES pets outside the organic variety were to blame for fouling up the habitat for the close by turtles, a number of that are threatened or endangered. i'm afraid that someone already did that close to you if there are children wandering round free. RES require a minimum of 10 gallons of water in step with inch of shell and they develop straight away. They feed contained in the water and the children are carnivorous. attempt earthworms, bait fishes, and liver -- no vegetables till they mature.

they might but I almost think that the larvae would be too small
to attract the babies, maybe if they were really hungry and searching for food

Stick to pellets for babys, but you can brake worms into fourths for them to eat.
