Do you think Zayl would be a good boy's first or middle name? I love Z names and I think this one is universal enough to be cute when he's little and manly when he's older. Be honest! Thanks.

The pronounciation rhymes with ale or bail. I was thinking maybe a middle name but I was thinking that it's a creative but tough name. Remember, he'll be a man someday :-)

I love Z names!!! My last name is Zatarain and it's the best... Anyway, I don't like Zayl only because it sounds like "sale" but with a "z"... Like you said, he'll be a man soon... names play a part in our professional and academic life whether or not we like to admit it... Besides celebrity children: name an actual successful person with a non-traditional or old-school name? Not many I can think of... except maybe Oprah... but then again, she's a chick. So, I'd keep Zayl as a middle name. Good Luck!!!

My vote is for middle name as well. This isn't one of my favorite Z names.
How about Zebulan? or Xan? Alexander with the nickname Xan sounds like Zan.
Alexander Zayl is cute! :) Then you can call him a Z sound and have an actual Z name too.

Zayl is a good first name or middle name I like it because no one else is going to have that name. It's very strong.

Its okay to me, reminds me of jewels b/c of Zales jewelry store. I also like Z names. We are naming our baby Alexander and calling him Zander. I love that name.
For a girl I love Zada.
