Basicly, hundruds of thouands of baby seals, many still able to feel pain, are being brutally skinned and clubbed to death by Canada's seafood industry. BOYCOT NOW!!

Canada's annual seal hunt is the largest slaughter of marine mammals on the planet. This year the Canadian government allowed fishermen to club and shoot more than 330,000 seals in the North Atlantic—almost all of them babies as young as 12 days—just to earn a few extra bucks by selling seal skins. Last year, 98.5% of the seals killed were two months of age or younger, and veterinary reports indicate that many seals have been skinned while still conscious and able to feel pain.

I just read the first two answers and I am floored!!!

You two are sitting before your computers, a thousand dollars of the finest technology available, and show no regard for the life of a baby!!! Gads!!!

Yeah, it may not be human but it is still a baby! And it is slaughtered so that a human being can feed his family???

Where is your sense of right and wrong? I pray you never have children of your own!

You do not deserve a child!

What needs to be done is that the government needs to subsidize these fisherman and make sure that they have enough money to feed clothe and support there families without having to do this to earn money. What is more cruel a baby seal dying or a human baby crying because they don't have anything to eat, or a child shivering because they are cold and homeless. It is fine to be an activist for animals but we should not forget that humans are suffering from horrendous poverty in North America and to me that is extreme unfeeling cruelty.

You animal rights people go a little tooo far. You act like an animals life is more important than a human....Read your "Bible", God put animals here to feed us and clothe us.
It is worng to abuse animals, neglect them, exploit them, but if they are being used for food or clothing........I'm sorry... but your argument doesn't stand...and that's one thing liberals have to get throught there fat heads.....Think of it, they believe in abortion.....are aganist the "death penalty", even if it is for a multiple murderer, or one that tortured someone, or killed or raped a child........and of course ANIMAL RIGHTS, I guess animals and murderers are more important than a child.
