He can because he is royalty, and can do what he chooses. Of couse, if the queen had said he cannot remain heir and marry camilla, then the story would be different, but the queen accepted it. Honestly, most brits didnt seem to care one way or another that charles and camilla married, as the monarchy doesnt really do that much anyway. Furthermore, the queen seems likely to hang-on for a long time to come, so if charles does get a chance to be king, it will be for about a week at tops until he passes on too. Re: the princess di thing, it seems the queen did not like diana for a long time.... read the gossip. Of couse, who are we random people to know what really goes on in royal circles, but, who cares? Except if your reading this maaam. I beg your pardon your highness for any misspoken words. Forever you humble subject. n

No I wouldn't have married that stiff shirt for all the gold in the UK. I feel so sorry for the beautiful Diana having to put up with such an old man. He should have married Camilla in the first place they both would have been happier. I think Diana's happiness was sold down the river. Her son's gave her her only true happiness. I would never marry without love

I'd have said an emphatic no - like so many women did, before the naive and unfortunate Diana agreed to marry him and put "the breeding programme in hand" (Charles's words, not mine). I wouldn't want to be married to a man who has to have a servant put his toothpaste on his brush, plump up his cushions, line up seven boiled eggs for him to choose the right one, and hold up a specimen bottle for him to pee into. If this ghastly throwback to the Middle Ages ever becomes king, republicanism will get a deserved boost.

Because I don't know him at ALL, I'd probably politely decline, or say, "I think I'd rather get to know you better first".
However, if I were some European princess, I might want to marry him for power. YET, I'd be marrying into a ton of political stress and the pressure of reforms and such over the kingdom.
Personally, I'd only marry him if I truly loved him.

I would have asked when his son would be old enough to marry and does he like older women!'
yeah I'd probably marry the position. They say money can't buy love or happiness but it can sure buy a lot of people who will pretend to love you. And I think it can buy a lot of happiness as well

No! I like to live my live more private than that and do things my way. You would be in the news if you held your tea cup wrong. I guess I'm just a country girl.
