I was reading a book and this word came up it apprears to be a good word but I would like to know its meaning?

I like to use stellar as a replacement for awesome, cool, and all of those positive adjectives used to compliment people, but this is what the dictionary says:

1. Of, relating to, or consisting of stars.
2. a. Of or relating to a star performer.
b. Outstanding; principal.

Yeah... it just means AWESOME!!!

It means several tthings to different people
Stellar often means a person has his/her head in the stars. They are not paying attention or are their thoughts are absorbed in something mot related to what you are discussing to saying.

One meaning is to say a person put out a stellar proformance. or good show. they relate or come across as as good as a movie star.

Another is a stellar effect meaning in relation to the stars. or as grand as a person sees in the stars.

Stellar means truly outstanding, implying out of this world, which stellar means more literally.
