How can I find out which books written in English have been translated into Japanese?
Question Details: I'm interested in finding all kinds of contemporary fiction, especially stories set in Japan, as well as popular nonfiction on topics like psychology, communication, management, self-help, anthropology, sociology, & 20th-century history. I'm not asking how to locate any particular book, but rather, is there an easy way to get a list of what books are available in both English & Japanese from either libraries or bookstores? (So you'll understand where I'm coming from, the purpose of this search is to help bridge an intercultural communication gap with my Significant Other through reading & discussion--activities we both enjoy greatly, but because neither of us is truly fluent in the other's language, it would definitely help if we could each read the same work in our own native language.)

Haruki Murakami springs to mind, but you might want to narrow the field a bit, as plenty of Japanese authors can be read in translation. You could read the numerous graphic novels which have been translated, the punk novels of Ryu Murakami, Shusaku Endo's WW2 novel The Sea and Poison, and even Haruki Murakami's novels can vary widely. You have a variety of scholarly texts as well. So what do you want to read?
