i don't watch it that much but i am curious. francis used to be married and worked at a ranch. in the newer episode i am watching he doesn't have a job and i don't see his wife anywhere around. he's living in some apartment. anyway just curious. anyone able to tell me what happend?

that's an older version right before he moved to the ranch with his wife. He's married, but his wife is always gone.

You are watching the older version of Malcolm in the Middle. You are right Francis used to be married....But that is the newer version.They are playing the older version now and the story has started all over again.

I watch it all the time. I have seen the time he blew up the festival and the time he acted like he was a dog and would play with them and also the time where he joins a group where they don't talk to him and a lot more.
