What does this mean?

Okay, well, what are past present and future?

Past: What has happened.
Present: What is happening.
Future: What is going to happen.

By these definitions, what has happened will be unchangable. The future (tomorrow) will never actually come, because it will always be today.

The present, what we do today, has the potential to affect what we do tomorrow. For example, if I choose to save the whales, the whales might just be saved in the future.
