My Mistake I meant "some" people. Did not mean to offend anyone. My friends who are black think it's ridiculous. I just wondered what everyone else thought.

Not all Black people speak like their "from da hood" so there's not such as talking Black. It's more like speaking ghetto..and it's ridiculous on anyone who isn't from the ghetto but especially White people.

by saying ''da hood'' you seem to speak quite ''black'' as well. Although I do know what you mean, (im biracial, and when white guys do that it bothers me too) but I really dont think its our concern ... worrying about other people and the way they speak could say alittle about who we are as people. We should just keep it in.

Did you ever stop to think that some of these white people grew up in the ghetto?? And you would expect them to talk and act like where they grew up...right?? I'm not saying all people...but some..

It's called cultural society emulation...some people want to be something they're not, some people want to have everything others have, some people are easily swayed by what is considered "hip".

Be prepared for some extreme left & right wing comments to your question...

Not all white people like talk like that. Not all black people talk like that either. If you talk like you are "from the hood," this does not make you black automatically. In response to your question, he probably has an intense liking for rap culture and seeks to emulate it. Smack him for me.

I am black and I do not speak like that. It sounds as if your friend is trying to fit in.

Because they are insecure, and want to fit in and be accepted, and in some people's minds, this is the way to fit in.
