I think it's one of the best television shows of all time! The writing , acting, direction, special effects are as good as or better than most movies out these days.

I think it is an amazing show. I rented it from Blockbuster.com for the heck of it, and loved it. Now I watch it every Friday. I love that Starbuck is a woman, I love that the bad guys are human-looking. I think Edward James Olmos is an amazing actor; Adama is the man. President Roslyn is both sweet and a hard a$$ - she's great. So, yea. Like the show. :)

I agree. The old version camped it up a lot. The new version has excitement, family issues, up-to-date FX, and great looking women. It also has a story line that doesn't give everything away in the first five minutes.
It's on my DVR for watching every week.

I still prefer he old BG series. Why could the have not taken the premise and created a wholly different series instead of trading on my childhood memories of Lorne Green...

Best of all time may be pushing it, but I am enjoying it. It is gritty, has a few twists, and a modicum of wry humour.
