Depends....When they change your oil they change the oil filter as well.

The Tune up can vary depending on what kind of vehicle you have. Most newer vehicles only require a spark plug change and perhaps the air filter.

If you own a older vehicle however...the "Tune Up" may include changing the....

1. Spark Plugs (including gap)
2. Distributor Cap.
3. Rotor.
4. Spark Plug wires.
5. Clean and adjust Carburator and idle.
6. Ignition Timing
7. Air filter
8. And usually check all fluid levels

Tune ups like spark plugs are a thing of the past. Plugs in most cars last 100,000 miles and regular tune ups became unessary you all out there don't like looking at the mechanics butt crack. And fuel injection and electronic controls just about eliminated the need. The check engine light will come on when there is something that is needed to be done to keep the emission controls working. And at 99,000 miles out of warranty that is when you get to look at my rear end. Starving mechanics everywhere wishing for adjustable timing points and good old mixture adjustable carburators and return of tune ups.
