Well unless you are into that, it would make sense to just say thanks for the compliment, but I'm not interested. The same reply you would give to the opposite sex. Being nasty or mean only promotes unwanted problems that could easily be avoided with alittle kindness.

As a straight man, I'd be flattered because, well, I must have style or something that attracted him. Then, I would very politely say that I was straight.
I have to say that I find those who say, "I'd puke" or "I'd punch them" are complete fakes. Really, why would you puke or hit them? Take it as a compliment, just as if someone of the opposite sex made a pass at you, but you weren't interested. If you're not attracted to someone of the same sex, how is that any different than if you are not attracted to someone of the opposite sex? Isn't that the same thing?

tell them politely your not interested, but I would still wondered what made a person of the same sex attracted to me in the first place. Does that mean I look gay? I haven't anybody make a pass at me in years so, man or women I think I'd be faltered .

I have found that the quiet approach is best. Most gays will respect your choices in life. But if the person makes another pass after being told to stay away, I would yell very loudly and tell him to "take a flying f on a rolling donut."

I think I would be polite at first, and if they don't get the hint, then I would not just be mean and nasty, but VERY mean and hateful to them. I would re-act the same with someone of the same sex hitting on me though, since I am very VERY happily married. :-)

It takes a lot for me to get the hint. At first I just think they are really friendly. I usually end up blushing and talking about the weather until I can politely leave.

It actually happened to me when I worked at a bar and I politely told her I was not interested.

It probably depends on how well I know the person. But your idea of politely begging off seems like the best one.

Depends on the circumstances. Like, if I knew him I would say nicely that I'm not like that. But once I was on a train and the complete stranger sitting next to me put his hand on my knee. A good hard elbow jab to his ribs solved that one!
