At 36.5 weeks I was 2-3 cm and 80%. My doc said it could be that day or a week. It was a week and a half. I had been having irregular contractions from 5-15 minutes apart for a month. There's just no predicting...but your body is doing something so you probably won't go past your due date.

How long is each contraction lasting? Do they come and go? Have you tried drinking water to see if they go away? Take a walk, then go lay down. If they go away (either when you walk or when you lay down) then they are just pesky Braxton Hicks contractions. I've been having a LOT of those, sometimes as few as 2 minutes apart. *sigh*
It probably won't be longer than a week. If the above makes them stop, then it probably won't be today. If they don't stop, then make sure your bag is packed, you may be headed to the hospital in a little while.
Good luck!

It is hard to say but I would be packed and ready to go at any minute.
I myself was 80% effaced and 4 cm dialated for 3 weeks and had to be induced. I walked around the surrounding area, drank tea, and did everything else that I could to try to safely start labor/break my water. My contractions were irregular at best.
Your contractions are a great sign though. Hopefully they are consistent.
Enjoy the last little bit of your pregnancy. Believe it or not, you will miss it! Good luck to you!!

Could be, depends on whether the contractions stop or not. Don't worry your baby knows when it is time and due dates are at least only accuate to one week either way. You and your baby will be find and hopefully with all this "pre-labour" (my *** by the way, I had it for 3 days straight and it was exactly the same as *real* labour) you will have a quick delivery.
However, do yourself a favour, don't make the mistake I did. Try to figure out if your baby is facing the right way.

I've never known anyone to have regular contractions that close together for a week. Only if they are sporatic or 30+min apart. I would get ready to go to the hospital in the next day or so at the latest.
Oh and eat something before you go to the hospital- I made the mistake of not eating and ended up going 21hrs of labor STARVING.

oh honey, i was 1-2 centimeters and 50% they told me the same thing. I went two weeks over due, was induced and in labor for 11 hours and then my baby turned breach and had to have an emergency c-sec. Only your baby knows when its time to come out and no one can predict when its time. When oyu have contractions you'll know it time. However I had false labor for 6 weeks too, and they just kept telling me any day now. I'm telling you this to scare you in any way shape or form but doctors can't tell you when your baby will come. From personal experience i would say it will be longer

I have my second child just four months ago. Based on your description I think your baby will be born tomorrow. :) Are you ready?
What an exciting time! Remember to call your doctor when you are having contractions 5 minutes apart or if you break water. All the best.

Time to go to the hospital. Mucus and pink are indicators that something is happening with your cervix. Since you are having contractions close together, I'd head on in and see what they say. You could be holding a baby this time tomorrow!

That sounds like me with my second for about 3 weeks. I hope you go within a week because having contractions all the time, even if they are Braxton-Hicks is no fun. Good luck!
