I don't have a problem with gay civil unions.
When gay relationships cross into the realm of 'holy matrimony' I start getting a little problematic and radical.
Gay relationships are not condoned by The Bible and as such are not entitled to a relationship referred to as 'holy matrimony' ... basically because it's not a 'holy' alliance.
HOWEVER, never having been one to tread on any of the rights of others, I do believe that that gays should have the rights to share property, enjoy their lifestyle as they see fit, and have a happy and fulfilling life. Basically a civil union will fit this bill.

I believe in a marriage between two people who are united under a bond of love, promise, and commitment............ I wouldn't label it as a " gay" or "straight" marriage.... marriage is only one thing - don't generalize it like the goverment & religion
To each their own........

If they want to be married, they should have that right. Their marriages probably wouldn't end up in divorce like most traditional marriages do.

Yes, if two people are committed to spending their lives together, then, they should be able to be recognized as a married couple and receive benefits as a married couple (ie., insurance, survivor benifits, penchants, etc.).

who cares if two people of the same sex get married? society is so scared of this for no reason other than morals. I say allow it and let it go, there is more in the world to worry about than who marries who

yes. i don't understand why it's illegal. politicians claim that it's against the bible but there's supposed to be a separation of church and state. it's all upside down and wrong and twisted. i'm moving to canada.
