He likes Playstation,,,,comics,,,,ALL Sports,,,collects the comics and cards,,,,likes Monty Python too, and a little bit of Sci Fi,,,and is an avid reader??? If he's a Python fan, get him Michael Palin's new book "Diaries 1969-1979: The Python Years".
Palin has published the diaries he kept all during those years and it really givens an insight into Python and how it really came together, plus some fantastic unknown anecdotes about what happened during filming etc (I love the bit about Betty Marsden - read it and you'll understand).
Then also sponsor a child on his (your husband, not Michael Palin) behalf. I think giving a child a future is the most amazing gift you could ever give.

I would get him PlayStation 3 with a sports game and a sci-fiction game. However you may have difficultly finding one. Then season tickets to his favourite home team games, Hockey, Baseball, Football, Basketball or what have you. Sound like you going you the "Wow honey this is the best present ever" He must have been a good boy this year.
