I recall watching a video in World History about what I believe was an ancient Buddhist temple. It's been bothering me for some time that I can't remember where it is or what it is even called (I would like to visit it someday). It's huge, and covered in carved panels that described the path to enlightenment. Any ideas? It's just one of those things that gets into your head and you can't shake. So, if any of you know anything about archaeology, buddhism, or geography, I'd appreciate it if you'd help me out! Thanks!

It is in Bali. It is a Buddhist temple that existed before Hinduism took firm hold. The vast majority of Balinese are Hindu but there are some Buddhist temples left on the island. It's an awesome and peaceful place. I was able to meditate there with a huge spider a foot from my face. A place that peaceful though doesn't make you nervous and both me and the spider just hung out.

Typus D is correct. The temples in Bali are Hindu, not Buddhist.
