I have a genetic condition that causes fleshy bumps all over my body (including my face). I only have them randomly on my body right now, but eventually they may or may not continue to cover my body. Do you think that if I practice meditation and visualization I can make this condition go away? Has anyone ever done this before? It's my only hope!

Your beliefs are more important than the beliefs of people on this website.

You may find this book helpful: "The Biology of Belief". It is written by Bruce Lipton, Ph.D. Dr. Lipton is a cell biologist and former professor at Stanford Medical School.

Here is a quote from the cover: "Stunning new scientific discoveries about the biochemical effects of the brain's functioning show that all the cells of your body are affected by your thoughts. The author, a renowned cell biologist, describes the precise molecular pathways through which this occurs."

The book is available at Amazon.com

Best wishes and good luck.

Is there hope? Yes! Is visualization and meditation the answer? No, I don't thnk so. What may be the answer? There are things not practiced by many doctors in the U.S. You may like to check out a book called -Hydrogen Peroxide Medical Merical- by William Douglass. The book is 184 pages and it is not difficult reading. Treatments are not outragiously expensive and they have had some amazing results even with the so called incurable diseases. You might want to invest the 15 or 16 dollars on the book. It can be ordered on E-Bay at half priced books.com. If you like it, there is another book worth reading called -The Calcium Factor- by Robert Barefoot.
You may want to stay away from microwave (ovens, cell phones, lap tops, ect.) They have been knowen to cause tumors.
Keep up the exercise and a good attitude.

This reminds me of my experience with meditation and seeing a "ghost." The fact is I am not sure if I saw a ghost or merely daydreamed the experience. What I do know is that it did not happen until I had spent nearly a month in relatively strict ascetic stoic meditations with some elements of yoga meditation (pre-pop-yoga movement). Not having had any sexual activity of food indulgence for over a month, seeing a face surface out of a wall did not entirely surprise me, but what did bother me was the look of dismay of the ghost at being noticed and how it turned and fled. There was no clear message from this event, but it bothered me enough that I decided I needed to give up being so austere with myself and enjoy some ice cream... and do some other things. Anyhow, it could have been a hallucination what with me punishing my body as I was with deprivations... Obviously, hallucinations may be achieved other ways, so I wouldn't discount that possibility either - particularly if there was no real meaning ascribed to the event that you'd need to ask random strangers what it meant...

It couldn't hurt! I have heard amazing things happen to ppl that mediated. They have some study where cancer patients did that and got rid of their cancer. So it could help for your. The mind is a powerful powerful thing and an image that you place in the mind could become your reality.
Also try diet and exercise. Just getting your body heathy it will have to do what you want it to.

From a personal experience I have had asthma for 32 years. When I do yoga and mediate I have No attacks. When I stop (like now it's been months) I have been having daily attacks. So there is something there TRY IT with an open postive mind.

In ayurveda, we beleive that the mind is all powerful. Anything is possible with the mind, and what is meditation? - bringing the mind under your control. There have been numerous cases of people 'healing with the mind', but i will not say that it works for everybody. But you might want to know that whether meditation heals you or not, there are numerous other benefits.. you become more calm and very tolerant, nothing in the outside world affects you.. you are better prepared to face your destiny and whatever life has in store for you. .. you might just be able to handle the whole thing better.. Good luck.

Meditation and visualization will cure this genetic disease only if it is what caused it.

You may want to try it anyhow, it certainly can't hurt the situation, but don't be upset if it does not work.

I believe that you can. My cousin used to get warts all over her hands and she "wished" them away. Every day for a 2 months she meditated and visualized her hands wart free and it worked!!

Another direction you might like to check out to support your self with this is to see a Naturopath or Holistic Doctor. They can look at the whole you and see if there is anything missing in your diet or maybe even something that your body doesn't produce or absorb on it's own. Who knows, a simple homeopathic medice might be what will set you on your way to healing yourself!

The less stress I am under the less breakouts occur. The breakouts occur more often a day or two after the stress.

Maybe exercise your body and keep the rest in shape to look good! Better than being a couch potato.

Big smiles help conceal obvious body ailments.

Be sure to take care of your teeth! Whiten them up.

Just take care rest of your body and people will notice you more often, for your in tone look. Than for your mysterious DNA phenomenon.

I think it can help but the important thing is for you to believe and keep seeing the doctors until they find a cure or find something that will stop the spread of the bumps.
