Aluminum siding just didn't have the romantic appeal I was after.

Oh, dear boy. *sigh* Where to begin? An ultimatum is an excellent gift. But it is really all in the packaging. A cute box with a pretty ribbon is a must. And the presentation is CRUCIAL! A sly glance followed with "I love you" eyes as you gently set the box on her lap is a sure winner. A moment she will remember forever.

She will shiver in anticipation as she opens it. Thrill with the note inside. The ultimatum. From the man in her life. The father of her children.

She will leap with glee, and immediately take the car in for an oil change. Knowing full well if she didn't (as you so eloquently wrote) you were going to sell it.

You are truly the romantic.

No, aluminum siding is not a good gift to get for an anniversary. But for my 20th, I told my husband to clean up his act or I was leaving. Guess what. I did just that. We go for our divorce hearing on Monday!

Ultimatum...as in let me buy the big screen TV or I'll leave? What ultimatum r u talking about? Al siding sounds better than an ultimatum; a pearl necklace would be better.

You didn't say what the ultimatum was. I need more information to answer your question properly. And by the way, romantic doesn't have a peel. It's quite bare.

If you feel she likes it, why not? Romantic is not that matters most, I believe the most important thing will be you care for her and remember it's your anniversary.
