Can i change the Ps3 Japanese verison to English Version?

in essense, the japanese version is better than the american version because you can play japanese games and american games on it without modding it. the american version only plays american games

The Japanese version is the same as the English version because they are made by the Japanese(the only difference is the language.

you can turn the ps3 language settings to english, but the ps3 will always be a japanese version if bought over there, only playing ntsc dvd's and ps2/ps1 games, cannot be converted unless someone sorts out a chip for it soon

I favor the eastern version (Shippuden will be problematical for the English to campare with the eastern version. that is a lot extra severe). The English version remains solid although and also you'll watch both on DVD, so that isn't any enormous deal extremely.
