Zaire used to be the name of what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo (ex-Belgian Congo), not to be confused with the Republic of Congo (ex-French Congo).

I am not sure I would want the name of a country as my first name...

ISn't that the name of a 3rd world country.

That would present quite a legacy for a kid. Please go with conventional. It does not have to be common, but I know many kids with unique names or even unique spellings of common names because they can't buy the license plate for their bike or the pen with their name on it or the note paper or even worse...kids laugh at their name. Remember kids can be very cruel.

Boys need a little more common name. Girls do better with unusual names. How about Alexander?

Z names are cool, but not names of countries. Try something like Zachary... but you're thinking creatively. Keep the juices flowin.
