We have a boer goat kid who is very ill, we think it may have eaten a toadstool. It has paralysis. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm answering 5 hours after your question.... how is the kid now?

Do you have only one sick kid? Is this the only goat you have, or was it separated from the others? Do you think it only ate one toadstool, or is it grazing a pasture with many?

Paralysis isn't likely the first symptom of this type of toxicity, though it certainly can be. If you can provide more information, I'll see what I can come up with.

Activated charcoal is the first step in treatment if you can get it. The faster it's administered, the less the concentration of toxins that will be absorbed.

EDITED - I tried to reply to your e-mail, but it wouldn't go through because your e-mail hasn't been confirmed. If you see this, send a short e-mail to me at ponydoc2000@yahoo.com so I'll have your e-mail address. I got your note, so no need to re-state the symptoms.

"Is it authentic that Bronze Age goat herders have not something to coach us?" i don't believe of that your examples are extremely convincing, as different mythologies have similar factors and there is a huge difference between pointing out something as a count number of idea ("the international will bring about fireplace") and having some know-how of why which could, doubtlessly take position. Equating a idea in angels and demons with a idea in extraterrestrial beings is amazingly doubtful. regrettably the purely lesson which diverse people have picked up from the Bronze Age Goat Herders is the single about how they have been given the Promised Land by God and that if anybody receives of their way even as taking it over that is high-quality to slaughter them all the way down to the most suitable toddler.
