Given that you cannot control either one, why is it more acceptable to be prejudiced against sex than race in society? (epecially on television)Is it because the self-esteem of people in minority races is more fragile and needs more protection?

I don't think sexism is any more acceptable than racism in society. I guess though, it depends what you define is sexism. I've found that most women DON'T WANT EQUALITY because they like having men pay for everything, and support them. I on the other hand do not feel comfortable with that. If you aren't self-sufficient, you're going to pay the price sooner or later - probably later when you get older and chunky, and he's ready to trade you in for a newer model.

So basically, a lot of women (although probably unknowingly) advocate sexism.

erica had the same thought I do. With a name like "cutieslut," you seem to be saying that it's OK for women to be considered sluts as if it's a fun thing or something. How in the world do you expect people to take you seriously if that's what you call yourself as if it were a compliment?
