It depends on wether or not your mom wants him out of the house. If she is all for it.. You can go to the local courthouse and get a temporary restraining order .. also requesting the judge to order him to move out. I did this and now living happily!

I'm guessing that it is his house, so no. If you are over 21 what the heck are you still doing living in your parents house? Get out on your own.

WOW----its not up to you---its up to your mother! Period- I am the mother in the a similar situation. If he is physical with her---call the police every time---get yourself counseling and report child abuse to your local authorites if he is abusinve to a minor sibling---you can't make her want him gone and don't put Mom in the position of choosing you over your Dad---she's probably already consumed with some loss as you head out into the world and regardless of Dads lack of virtues, she may not be ready...and thats always a disaster.

Its his house not yours. If he does not like you just get a job and move to another city. That would solve the problem gracefully and respectfully for both of you.

This will give you your Independence and keep other peoples opinion of the family intact.

It's very simple, in whatever family dealings do not involve him. Make decission without his opinion. If you are capable to take care of your mom with his help then go ahead, just ignore as he does not exist. I believe he will find his way out from you all.

isn't it his house? otherwise, it's your mom's decision to make.

If he's abusive or breaking the law in some other way, you can report him. But you being a legal adult only gives you the right to move out.

The question is this, in whose name is the house registered. If it is not your father, the owner of record can order him off the premises and he his reluctant to leave, the sheriff will help him to decide.

If it is in his name, you'll do what my familiy did and live with the bastard till he croaks.

Only you mom can legaly do that. Unless you have suffer a certain form of abuse from your father. Other than that there is no legal reason to get him out of his home...........................
