This one is for john d. Anyway, maybe explain this: A circle=infinte; alpha and omega both, are god; god completes the circle by joining first and last; god is the link (or missing link, although we may have just found it); god is the link between beginning and end which becomes infinite. ???? so what about us? Original theories please. Although the word "original" is contradictory, the contradiction within originality could be key?

Existence shall be as it was now, which is to say that it remains in the unending eternal moment, the now that always was, is, and will be. We do not exist outside this eternal moment. One eternal moment is, and has no beginning or ending. So, existence is eternal and the outcome is infinity. God can’t be a link when He is infinite, because there is nothing in Him to link.

You are very confused. The word "infinite" simply means "undefined". It doesn't mean that things go on forever.

A circle is not infinite. It has a finite radius and a finite circumference. Throwing in the Greek letters, alpha and omega, which are the beginning and end of the finite Greek alphabet, adds nothing relevant to your ideas of the infinite.

Yes, I realize they have Biblical symbolism, but they were written by superstitious men who had no better idea of what is infinite than you do.

Trying to splice the idea of God into this collection of nonsense doesn't help any understanding. All it does is make it obvious that you have no idea what you are talking about.

If you make a claim that "God is the link between beginning and end which becomes infinite" is just total nonsense. You are flip flopping back and forth between the idea of finite and infinite as if they were the same. They are not.

Be aware that just because you can throw words together into what appears to be a complete sentence doesn't mean that you are really making any sense at all.

Regretfully, the human mind has not advanced to the point where it can handle the concepts of infinite very well. To be sane, you have no choice but to say that infinite means "undefined".

There is nothing original about being confused.

Upon seeing the ridiculous "answer" posted by an Alan Turing who clearly has no grasp of how to read and more importantly UNDERSTAND other peoples questions. I felt it necessary to post my own answer. First and foremost the asker doesn't actually ask at any point in the question what I think of him and his theory. Secondly The use of a circle in this question is clearly symbolic, the radius and circumference is as irrelevant as Alan Turings' post. Thirdly A lot of philosophers and scientists have and always will argue what infinity MEANS. It does not mean "simply without definition". It is probably one of the most complex words to exist because it relates to one of the most complex ideas. The official Collins Dictionary meanings are: Infinite: 1. Having no limits, boundaries in time, space, extent or size. 2. Extremely or immeasurably great or numerous. 3. Having an unlimited or uncountable number of digits, factors or terms. Whilst it is difficult to truly understand the meaning of the word I do not think it particularily difficult to look in a dictionary and find an official meaning as oppossed to making up your own utter nonsense, which is both offensive to me a reader of this question and no doubt to the writer of this question who is in no way as confused as Alan Turing. When you don't understand the concept of something it's best not to try to answer it especially when your inability to comprehend it requires you to resort to insulting the Asker. Next time keep it to yourself as you are probably the only person who understands and/or cares about the piffle you wrote. Also try picking up a dictionary next time instead of making up your own ridiculous meanings to words that come from latin and have a greater history than you could fathom.

Existence is infinite because of our soul or spirit. Our soul is energy, energy cannot be created or destroyed. (and only the grand divinity has the power to create or destroy energy) Our soul, (in my opinion) travels through existence between the physical and spiritual planes of existence, through the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. Think about it for a moment. The human body is comprised of mainly water and when we die our bodies dehydrate and return to dust or carbon. And because our soul no longer has a link to the physical plane it must seek another body. As long as a soul is able aintain this cycle then it will not be become part of the energy cycle of the universe.

Circular models of time are certainly convenient. God is also convenient.
The Truth, for me at least, is that these conundrums and paradoxes merely mark the boundaries of our cognitive capabilities.
Based on my own experiences and observations so far, I cannot rule out an expanding multiverse of multiplying universes.
However, having learned of the egocentric nature of Life, I understand that we might be trapped within a meaningless circular cycle.
I console myself by thinking this cycle is a spiral, ever ascending.

The metaphysicists separate the essence and existence. I don't know what they are on about. Very clever people can invent other words so it could be semantics.

Other people write books with ingenious words that comprise a world system (the Germans have a long word for this: Germans have lots of long words).

There is infinite amount of real numbers between 0 and 1, yet they have a beginning and an end.
What is the big deal?

Existence is infinate? i think you mean Finate, if you quote it has a beginning and end.
Infinate is without end.
(as in Indefinate...Not definate)
(and Douglas Adam's Infinate Improbability drive)
