No, pushups work your pectorals (upper chest) and triceps (back of your arms)

To build abs, you should try good ole' fashioned sit-ups

Push ups work the pectoral muscles (Chest). Crunches work the abs. Rock hard abs do not come about with just doing crunches. Your diet plays a key role as well. Developing muscles is not difficult to do but in order for them to be shown or provide more benefit, you need to burn any fat which may lie atop of them.

No. Push-ups mainly work your chest and arm muscles, not your abdominal muscles.

For "rock-hard abs," do lots of sit-ups and crunches. And stop drinking so much beer ;-)

Push ups or press ups will do little or nothing for the abs but will give you firmer pecs.Sit ups,on the other hand,will give you hard abs.

take two gallon jugs fill em with sand and sit on a chair
do tweety reps three time a day
side to side
then put the jugs behind you and lift them up
cheaper then buying a weight set

No, it doesn't.
Try sit-up, if you're a beginner, sit-up with your hands side of your body, it's easier. If you feel it's too easy, try to position both your hands back of your head and sit-up.
