My question is, why is it that just because a person isn't attracted to a BBW they feel they need to be mean to them.? Why is it that when I'm at a restaurant eating someone has the audacity to stare like I'm not supposed to enjoy a good meal? When are people going to learn to respect others for their differences? I mean, although I am a big woman the point is I am a woman. A person with feelings and your remarks and comments don't help. The funny thing is, if you get to know me you'll know that I actually lost a lot of weight, with regular diet and exercise and not some pills or surgery, and I'm trying to lose more. Again, when are we going to start respecting one another for our differences?

Society tells people that their idea of beauty is a size 7 and blonde. They look down on full figured women as those who have no will power to control their eating and that they need to go on a diet. I've seen some beautiful full figured women and they rock some outfits these skinny chicks can't even surpass. I get stares too when I eat as if I am not entitled to eat a good meal. I've had men compliment me for being sexy at my size and not looking like a bag of bones, but someone who can sit down and get down on a meal like everyone else. I am working on taking some weight down, but even at my size I have guys who say I am fat and ugly when I am not worried about what they think since it's their ignorance doing the talking. I see so many guys pass over a beautiful and intelligent full figured woman for one of these skinny ditzy bimbos just so their friends won't laugh at them.
The sad thing is that a lot of these skinny females don't help things when they get together with their friends and start gawking and laughing at larger women for the fact that they can't get into certain outfits like baby tees and other clothes. Yet they get mad when a BBW gets attention from an attractive man, I had that happen to me before these narrow minded white girls making fun of me for not being able to fit into their clothes, yet I got more attention from the guys who saw me well dressed and put together and not sloppy like these girls were. It's up to us to write the media and start voicing our concerns to them about the images they put out there telling both men and women that certain traits and looks are what will make you more popular.
What happened to the power of diversity and the unique world we live in, but it won't be that way when we have the film, fashion and music industry defining to us what is beautiful and what is considered sexy. I think the anorexic look has got to go because what man will find some woman with her bones petruding to be sexy? I agree I want to lose the weight without surgery or dangerous drugs. Too many women are not celebrating what God gave them and to accept themselves for how God made them. I have no problem with being a full figured woman since I get mad compliments for the way I carry myself and the stylish clothes I wear and being a lady and not being too out there.
As a full figured woman I am given mad respect for not looking like a dog's chew toy which is what my guy friends refer to skinny women as because I look like a real woman not some starving scarecrow trying to be cute. Do your thing and who cares if some people don't like women like us and are only aiming for eye candy because in the end they're losing out on getting to know a really great person who's full of wonderful, thoughts, ideas, and a sense of humor to match.
A lot of men miss out on good women when they pass them over for not having the physical part down meaning she's a size 9. You would be surprised at how many men want to date women like you and me, but don't worry you're a good woman and there's men out there who would be honored to be with a beautiful woman who's got class and style and a great personality. Only ignorant people will base their opinion of what society feels is considered the ideal woman. It's up to us to change the way people think about others especially for their differences and accept the fact that women come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and ethnic backgrounds.

HPV means human papeloma virus which I think is warts so she has an STD. BBW stands for big beautiful women. This terms i supposed to be used for like plus sized models however the meaning is often stretched and used by any large women reguardless of if she's beautiful.

People are mean to bbw's for the same reason they're mean to anyone who's "different" from them... b/c they're ignorant, heartless, and want to belittle others to make them feel better about themselves. It's sad really... no mater how much time passes, as humans we will still always find a way to separate "us" from "them".... fat from skinny, short from tall, white from non-white, American from non-American, checks from polkadots. It's a neverending, vicious cycle.
Either way... when it's all said & done, the important thing is that we each make a very consious effort to keep ourselves from doing this very same thing to others. It's just as bad when a truly beautiful big girl makes degrading remarks about a skinny girl who just can't put on any weight if she tries.

There seems to be a lot of prejudice about this stuff everywhere lately! You're right, people don't know your story but they are still quick to judge. There are so many things about people that you shouldn't really talk about like race or religion, but when it comes to larger people, it seems as if there is a free for all going on! I see posts on here all the time about how overweight people are disgusting etc. But what these people don't realise is that they are not immune to harsh words. They don't seem to care if they hurt someone's feelings and it isn't right.
Why does anybody, feel they have the right to pass judgment on anyone else? All I can say is that people who do things like that must feel so rubbish about themselves, that they have to make someone else feel bad in order to make themselves feel better! Just pure nastiness!
Sure these people may be thinner and therefore think they are better than you, but they are sure ugly on the inside!

I'm not mean to BBW (big beautiful women). I love them. It's every man dream to marry to a BBW. So maybe because they are attract to BBW but can't find one yet. Sometimes I caught myself stare at a BBW. That is because I find them so beautiful.

i am sorry ..... i dont understand either why people are this way... i mean are they generally concerned about larger peoples health?... somehow i doubt it....so why cant they mind their own business and either get to know the real person or just go on with their own lives.....
the best thing i can think of is ignore the ignorant and just show how grand a time you are having living life while they consume their energy with negative feeling that are no concern of theirs!

Because people have their own insecurites and things they hate about themselves, and it all traces to the bully on the playground syndrome, where you feel if you mock other people you will feel less bad about yourself. If you are doing something good for yourself, and you feel good about that, and you're healthy, don't care about what anyone else says! Be you!

because they are JEALOUS baby!! Keep doing what you do best, and dont ever let anyone tell you that you aren't worth thier time just because you're a little more healthy than they are. (Find a gay friend. I love my BBW's!)
