Ok, so i bought this formal dess and its a really nice liliac colour, its go kinda lacy matrial, its like a baby doll type dress. i was just wonder how i should do my makeup for it, like what colour eye shadow, or should i go for the sexy, dark eye look with lots of blakc eye liner? any thoughts?

A dark smokey eye is always a classic for evening wear. Make sure you use liquid eyeliner and that you don't over apply. It would be really pretty if you used eggplant coloured shadow for the smoking effect, a lighter purple on the lid and a small amount of highlighter on the inner corners of the eyes and cheekbones, go with a light pretty pink blush and a sheer glossy lip..voila!

It kinda depends on your skin & eye color, but my suggestion is a softer version of the black eyeliner. use lilac or pink shadow, then use just a hint of either gray or black to darken the outer edges of the eyes, & black eyeliner smudged in (not too thick)the top lashes only. Lilac or pink shadow as liner on the bottom, and if you can stand it line the inside of your eyes with black eyeliner. It will really make your eyes POP! LIght pink blush & light pink lipstick or gloss. Nothing dark b/c you want the focus on your eyes!

I would do the dark sexy. However, the best thing to do is practice first. Try them both and see which one you like better. Have fun.

night time: greys, silvers put on a darker grey across your eyelid, with a silver, brush across the bottom of your lid slightly further than the darker grey! glden look and very cute
