if is it a copy, it might not be able to play it. lots of expensive computers are made to not play copies, since they are illegal and all.

the dvd is either manufactured or copied in the wrong format..try power dvd...its better than media player

usually is whether the dvd might be pirated ones / the dvd is not compatible ./ dvd u buy have different area code.
