I have been in love with my ex-boyfriend now for 29 years. We broke up 9 years ago, and he has been married now for 7 years. I still love him with all my heart, we don't see each other ever, but i still love him. I wish that i didn't. I don't know what to do after all this time to change my feelings.

I haven;t had as much experience, but I am still in love with the guy from my first real serious relationship, and we broke up two years ago! He was physically abusive, lied and cheated all the time yet told me he loved me. I finally said enough becuase I was worth more, but to this day I know I a still deeply in love with him. Even thinking about him with his girlfriend now almost sends me into depression. I actually have a great boyfriend now, but I honestly am not in love with him. I cant give you any advice really accept for this...just throw yourself into things that make you happy. And try to find someone to just have fun with. I am going through the same thing you are...you are not alone. :)

Love is the hardest thing to get over especially since a lot of time has passed, I think since it is over and he has moved on so should you...The feeling you feel at this moment are feelings of deep regret and sorrow because you no longer have this man in your life...At this point you should move on and let the hurt of loving him and not having him in your life go as well...The more you hold on to this the more painful it will become...Let go and move on to a better life and eventually the love you feel for this man will finally go away when you fine someone new.

Yes i'm still inlove with my ex we broke up 11 years ago now I have a kid and I'm with someone yet I still love my ex my current boyfriend reminds me of my ex a bit thats why I got with him but, I can not help it I'm madly inlove with my ex and I do not see him but, I still love him with all my heart I even dream of him that he comes back for me and that we are hiding from my current boyfriend

You tell yourself that he is a married man now. He has moved on with his life . And tell yourself it is time for you to do the same. A lil' positive thinking about all the reality in it , should lead you to a right mind of thinking.

Yes this happens all the time. There are many people that have found the one love of their life and managed not to hold on to it and never get it back.

sounds like he moved on with his life after the break-up and you didn't.
try getting out more and meeting other people. i know it was a long time you were with him, but you need to move on. he's not coming back to you as he has his own family now.
