On the 10th I started my period. It ended the normal 4 days. But then on the 17th it started again. Its just like any other period. I have been under a lot of stress, have been on birth control for a while now. Does anyone know why this happned or if it is even supposed to happen?

I have been on the same BC for a long time, its not starting it up. And no it hasnt ever happened before.

Couple things it could be...but ask your OB.
Stress could be it... Could need a different strength pill. OR have you had cold medicine or been on antibiotics?
These have all happened to me. The biggest one....
Taking the pills at the same time of day every day. If I missed & took one later that day instead of thesame time in the am...I would defffinately start or spot that next day or two.

My birth control always made my period regular until I was on it for about 2 years. Then all of the sudden it started doing weird things to my cycle like what you are describing. As soon as I went off it, I started having a normal cycle again... of course I also got pregnant and a gall stone.

I would defiantly talk to you doc or OBGYN if you haven't already... If you've been on birth control the 2ND period could mean that its not strong enough for you... That might mean that they might have to up the dose and or change the birth control that your on to some other birth control... When i was on the pill for 2 1/2 years i had to have my doc. up the dose 3 or 4 times because of break through bleeding!!! So talk to you doctor...

Well that "second period" is from you starting the birth control pills. You body will ajust soon and your periods will be shorter! Dont worry!

I don't know but I got my first period 2 weeks ago and now it's back again...no clue why though

Herad of this happening cause of stress talk to your mom and or doctor, has this happened befopre?
