Never. Never. Never. Never. NEVER! leave a child if you are the mother or the father. A child needs both. and just because you do not love the father or mother is not the child's fault and you should just tuff it out and deal with it. The child is always the one being "burned" in these situations.

whether or not you dont like or love the person the child is by, you still have a financial obligation to take care of the child, the child is an innocent person and should not be used as a pawn between the two parents...

if it is MY my child with him, HELL yeah i would keep the child!!!! if it was HIS child from a previous wife, and u were taking care of him/her, it would be different...more of a choice of the child/mother of the child/father...i'm a bit confused about ur situation, but hope it helps!
