this is "el sick-o" question -- and obviously most of the answer follow suit to satisfy more than the curiosity of the asker. It looks and it sounds -- the asker has not understood the "right to marry" of the homosexuals -- the famous why or why not -- and decidedly he throws into the field an assumption hardly shared by the homo-sapiens! Yes, we are all descendents of that famous branch. Now, back to the question-- if the asker backs out -- we would try to help him identify who is the male and who is the female in such marriages. the answer is "none". End of the debate!

Unlike macho men like you, the need to role play and have a female to dominate isn't an important issue. But if it helps you to have a more distinctive explaination of the women's role. Maybe you should try being on top next time to have something to compare it with.

First of all, "we" who decide laws includes at least 10% gay people so get over that. Second, marriage is a partnership much like a business arrangement--rules and expectations and goals. That's like saying there must be a male and a female player in every business partnership. In other words, it's stupid, but I think you know this and you're just pushing buttons so nice job.

There are no gendercentric "roles" to play, no "you are the woman it's your job" games. It would be an equal partnership, just as it already is in MY relationship. That's your worry isn't it? Finding out that either Partner in a relationship of that nature is more of a man than you are. It takes far more guts to define your own way than to have it laid out for you by someone else.

why would you even care? i'm not one to inflict my morals or values on anyone else, i just live my own life and lead by example as to how i believe God wants us to live. the bible says that homosexuality is an abomination, and it's not what the human body was designed for either...logically we were designed to reproduce with the opposite sex. getting into which of the two will carry the wife vs. hubby role is none of anyone's business except the couple in question.

What's a female role? My cooking sucks so my husband always cooks. He's too big to fit under our car so I change the oil. But at 6'4" 275 lbs he doesn't look very feminine. And me with my waist-length hair do not look very masculine hehehe.
I'm straight but still think that EVERYBODY deserves the right to get married, no matter what they "are."

dude.. um not all homosexuals are men you know... Men and Women both can be homosexuals. And as for the question at hand. It sort of depends on the couple.. but if you really think about.. if two guys are gay and in love with eachother.. chances are neither of them need to be the "female".. kinda defeats the purpose of being gay in the first place if you ask me.. =)

The female role? Come out of the cave !!!
Also, notice your own wording, "give us the right?" What give you the right to take away someone's right. Think about it...
Peace!

A male couple would not include a female, so there would be no female role. Please tell me, what exactly is the female role in a heterosexual marriage, anyway?
