You are being respected when others listen to your opinion whether they hold the same one as you or not, when other people consider your feelings and input before decisions are made, when people younger than you address you with civility and decency, when your children grow to be truly decent, self supporting people who raise your grandchildren the way you raised them and when you dont have to wonder if they respect you but know that do by thier actions and behavior toward you.
