Call the Gas or propane company because the thermocouple between the pilot light and the gas valve is not responding. Allowing gas to flow to the burner. Get some one out there to fix the heater. There are more modern furnaces that use spark lighters. Please get an annual check of the entire heating system because carbon monoxide does not smell and is very dangerous.

Propane heating systems are more dangerous than their natural gas counterparts - because propane gas has much higher pressure.

As a result, there are many more hazardous incidents involving propane gas.

Do-it-your-selfers should never tackle repairs of a propane-fueled system.

Please call a heating company.

Good luck.

If your following all the phases on starting the pilot correctly then your thermocouple may be burned out.You can either call the heating company in your area or service it yourself but, since you don't seem to know the thermocouple was burned you'd better call someone.
