At 19 if you don't know how to skate, then, as far as to go pro, no. As to competitions though, sure, just as amateurs though,
like, in the sorts of leagues people play in after work. If you want to play hockey and you live where hockey is a mass sport then there's a league for the skill level you'll get to.

Unfortunitly yes, because if you already don't know how to skate then you really are too old to learn. My sibling started playing hockey when he was 6, years old. They look at how good you are and when you to to try out they also look at where you have been skating and how long you have been playing for club. So unless you are unbelieveable there is really no hope for ya playing pro. Sorry dude. But good luck trying.

dude you could not go pro if you practiced for a whole year non-stop
people play for their entire lives and never come close. and 19 is not too old to start there are leagues for 50 and older so you still have some time to have fun but as for the pro part definately not.

You are too old..If you were skating while you asked this question you might stand a chance. BUT if you are never skilled enough to play professional hockey, you might get signed by the Leafs.

I played for D teams as a kid, haven't played in 3 years, and now I'm jumping right into semi-pro. If you really put your heart into it and work your *** off, then of course.

NO, my dad started when he was 21 and got an invitation to come to three echl teams tryouts. he made one as the seventh defensemen(reserve) and decided to quit after they wouldn't let him take up another job. Go for it.
Good luck

surely now not too previous! looking on how reliable you're i'd attempt out for the highschool team! yet once you do now not make it it particularly is now not a huge deal because of the fact you could continually attempt a house team!

you could probably buy Hockey for Dummies and try out for an ameature team, and if you still like it, go for it.
